Pastor Mike Redeker

Pastor Michael “Mike” Redeker is the son of a retired pastor in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He was born in San Jose, California where his father started a mission church. They relocated to Sheboygan, Wisconsin when he and his twin sister were three years old in 1965. His Wife, Mary, was raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They celebrated their 30th anniversary this past October (2016). Pastor and Mary have been blessed with seven children and one granddaughter.

Jonathan Peterson

Director of christian education (dce)

Jonathan was born in Tucson, AZ. He grew up in Kent, WA. College took him to Boston, MA where he attended Berklee College of Music and briefly to Los Angeles for an undergrad internship. Jonathan moved to Las Vegas at the request of a friend. And while there, he began volunteering with the youth ministry of First Good Shepherd Lutheran. When FGS’ DCE took another call, he asked if I could be a lay leader for the youth ministry. Next he enrolled at Concordia University Irvine to earn a masters in theology with a Christian leadership emphasis. As a DCE intern, he served at Faith Lutheran in Pleasant Hill, CA. Jonathan is excited to have received his first call as DCE at Lutheran Church & School of Messiah. 

Neal Kaspar


Born and raised in Houston TX. University of Houston Cougar and a Concordia University Chicago Cougar (1968). Teacher, Coach, Choir Director, and Administrator at Lutheran High schools, Lutheran Colleges and Seminaries, Principal and Teacher at Lutheran Elementary schools from TX to MI, from PA to CO. Loves reading ancient Greek history and philosophy, guitar and singing, writing music, all sports, Packers and Astros, walking.
